Microsoft vs. Apple: Choosing the Right PC for You

Apple vs. Windows

When purchasing a new PC or laptop, many people face the crucial question of whether to go for a Microsoft or Apple device. Those with experience with both Microsoft Windows and Apple will quickly be able to filter out their favorite. The final choice depends on their own needs and requirements.

Those who prefer to stick with the tried and tested, because they know what to expect, will choose Windows. There are probably only a few people who have never worked with Windows. With Apple, however, it’s the other way around. This alone is a factor that puts many people off. Learning a new operating system seems incredibly complicated, so they prefer to stick with what they are familiar with. But Windows also has a lot more to offer in terms of product selection.

Why does Apple not offer cheap products?

While Apple doesn’t even offer cheap products, Windows covers every target audience. From cheap to expensive, there is the right PC for every need. The same applies to software. Windows offers many programs for free, while others are available for a license fee. The selection of Apple software, on the other hand, is limited. One of Apple’s advantages is clearly security. Windows is a popular target for hackers. Apple PCs currently don’t even require security software. In addition, working on an Apple PC or laptop is much more reliable.

Crashes are rare, largely because Apple doesn’t install superfluous tools, as is often the case with Windows. Apple impresses with its minimalism and attention to detail, which repeatedly manifests itself in the form of “nice-to-have” gimmicks that make working with the Apple PC significantly easier. And if all else fails and the transition is simply too difficult, you can simply install Windows on your Mac, and all is right with the world again.
